Golf fans with a Quest headset will be able to compete for a pretty temping grand prize starting July 16th in GOLF+’s next big VR Open.

Golf+ announced it’s partnered with The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A) to bring an official VR Open experience, which is set to let players from around the world to compete on Royal Birkdale in a championship-themed setting inspired by The 154th Open.

And it won’t be just for the love of the game; one lucky participant will win “the ultimate Open experience,” the studio says, which will include a VIP trip for two to The 155th Open at St Andrews in 2027, including Championship tickets and hospitality access for both the winner and a guest.

Entry into the Grand Prize drawing will be open to all Golf+ players who compete in the VR Open, which means all players that complete each of their VR Open tournament rounds will be entered to win the Grand Prize.

The tournament tuns from July 16th – 22nd, giving players a full week to complete their rounds and compete against golfers from around the world.

Additionally, attendees at this year’s physical Open at St Andrews will find Golf+ demos available at both The Dunes House hospitality pavilion overlooking the 15th green and 16th tee as well as The Open campsite area.

In the meantime, you can find Golf+ over on the Horizon Store for Quest.
