How to Use Custom Fonts in Google Forms to Improve Readability
One of last week’s most popular posts was about the news of Google adding new font customization options to Google Forms. Like all updates to Google Workspace tools, the new font customization options were immediately available to some users and not others. It took about a week for the new options to appear in my Google accounts. If you haven’t seen the new Google Forms font customization options, take a look this short video I made to demonstrate how to use them.

The tweet, which was cached and also captured by Twitter user […]
3 Ways COVID Changed Higher Education Forever
Online Courses (New phone, who’s this?)
Prior to the pandemic, online courses were most often viewed as “less than”…lacking in sound pedagogy and without measurable and pedigreed outcomes. The subpar offerings of for-profit online institutions were frequently referred to as diploma-mills. But much as working from home has gained wide-spread acceptance, online learning has enjoyed a major rethinking.
Current research shows a big shift in the perception of online college courses. A recent survey found 73% of student respondents said the COVID-19 pandemic made them much more likely (52%) or somewhat more likely (21%) to consider online programs. While […]
A Google Maps and Earth Activity for Art Classes
When I conduct workshops on Google Maps and Google Earth I always point out that the uses for those tools extend beyond the realm of geography and history. One example of using Google Maps and Earth outside of the typical geography setting is using Google Maps and Earth to have students place art and artists on an interactive map.
Students can map the locations of where a piece of art is housed, where it was created, where the artist lived, and the places that inspired the artist. Each placemark on a student’s map could include a picture […]

‘Horizon Call of the Mountain’ Promises “multiple paths”, New Clips Captured on PSVR 2
Horizon Call of the Mountain, an exclusive title headed to PSVR 2, got its first gameplay trailer earlier this month which suggested VR’s first Horizon series game would be more than just an ‘experience’. Now Sony has tossed out now new clips alongside an expanded description of the game, which promises “multiple paths to take.”
Developers Firesprite and Guerrilla Games are still playing it pretty tight-lipped on just how in-depth Horizon Call of the Mountain will be; it’s first gameplay trailer suggested it will be significantly more than just a short Horizon-flavored experience.

SideQuest is an amazing tool for unlocking a bunch of VR content and tools for Quest, and we really suggest setting it up if you own a Quest 2. SideQuest’s new Easy PC Installer allows you to download the executable to your PC, connect up your Quest 2, and then enable you to sideload content directly to your headset, just like accessing the official Quest Store.
