WNBA Basketball 2025 Season Tips Off This Week on Quest, Featuring 20 Livestreamed Games

The 2025 WNBA season starts this week, and Meta announced it’s again livestreaming a host of season games on Quest across the Xtadium app and Horizon Worlds NBA Arena.

Quest users will be able to tune into 20 live games this season, including five games captured in 180-degree immersive video, Meta says in a news update.

‘VRChat’ Opens New Marketplace for Buying and Selling VR Avatars

VRChat announced it’s officially opened its own Avatar Marketplace, allowing users a centralized way to buy and sell avatars from within the social VR platform.

Users have been able to visit VRChat worlds and directly buy and sell avatars for a while, however the company has now rolled out a centralized marketplace to make it easier to find and purchase avatars.

Apple is Reportedly Developing Smart Glasses to Rival Ray-Ban Meta Glasses

Apple is reportedly developing a new chip for an upcoming pair of smart glasses which is aiming to compete with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, according to a recent Bloomberg report from Mark Gurman.

Apple’s smart glasses chip is reportedly based on the low-energy processors used in Apple Watches, which are being optimized for power efficiency and the ability to control multiple cameras.

Niantic Spatial has launched its mixed reality pet game Hello, Dot on Quest 3, bringing it out of early access and packing in a heap of new features.

Hello, Dot is what the studio calls a “mixed reality showcase” from its host of AR experiences, which the studio kicked off on mobile with Peridot in 2023.

Previously Delisted, All of Insomniac’s Rift Games Are Now Back on the Store

Insomniac Games’ most beloved Rift titles are all now back from being delisted, including Edge of Nowhere (2016)The Unspoken (2016), Feral Rights (2016) and Stormland (2019).

Insomniac Games’ VR titles have been delisted periodically over the years, however most recently all four of those titles were quietly removed from the Horizon PC Store in early 2025.

‘Minecraft’ Officially Drops VR Support, But There Are Still a Few Ways to Play

Mojang announced last year that it was shutting down support for PSVR and PC VR headsets sometime after March 2025. Now, in the latest Bedrock update, the studio has officially dropped VR support, although there are still a few unofficial ways to keep you mining.
